Some Little Words
a collaboration by
Robert Gibbons – poet
Amy Williams – visual artist
Some little words, look, or gesture can move them either to love or stick a knife between your ribs. - Zora Neale Hurston
Poet Robert Gibbons and visual artist Amy Williams team up to collaborate on a new series of erasure poems and artworks inspired by the words of Zora Neale Hurston's writings from the Federal Writers' Project. There is an almost mythical quality to the level of collaboration both Gibbons and Williams seek in this project. Hurston is the anchor, the muse, but the work will be tailored for a modern audience.
